Do you need a Christmas gift?
I’ve come into possession of a stunning book, authored by Ben Simon, covering the lower Lagan from Belfast to Drum. As Edenderry Village is well accounted for with a lengthy interviews from past residents and present, giving a wonderful insight into the village live and going-ons from times past to present.
Do you know what happened to No.1 and 2, and what about the other 6 missing houses? Why the Wee street is also known as Bride’s Row? It’s all in the book told in the words from residents.
The hardbacked ‘By the Banks of the Lagan’ is available price £6.00 from the Lagan Valley Regional Park Office at Lock Keeper’s Lane. It is also be available from Lisburn TIC, Lisburn Museum and No Alibis bookstore.
For a more in-depth look at the book see: Banks-of-the-Lagan
Thank you so much for letting us know about this. I will certainly be buying a copy.
