Halloween Fireworks – Thurs 31 Oct

You are all invited to a Halloween night at your village.

Dress up and let’s mimic the spirits and appease them. Remember this is the time of the overlap between the worlds of the living and the dead. So help create a bang and have fireworks.

The night will start with hot food at the edge of the green, by the now established Pizza Van; I believe they have something other than pizzas planned.
At 8pm display your pumpkins at the pumpkin parade which leaves St Ellens and shall proceed to the field at the end of the Big Street, when the fire works will be fired in the field.

All are welcome, but think of the Pets.
Animal charities say the best is to keep your pets indoors. Including pets that are normally kept outside, such as rabbits or guinea pigs. Close all of your windows and doors and try to drown out the noise as much as possible.
And for the rest of us:
Be safe not sorry
Keep kids safe

  1. Hi Heather and Claire,
there’s a bit of confusion caused by wordpress (the website host) associating keyword related old posts such as this from 2013, which was displayed beneath the new one… done it myself!

We are working on the wesite format constantly now, so this issue will be addressed.

    Thanks,

    Bruce

  2. Thought the parade was usually 7pm. Is 8pm not a bit late for the younger children? Was hoping my 2 1/2 yr old great nephew could enjoy his first experience of Halloween but I think 8pm onwards would be pushing it for him.
