A couple of local residents are campaigning to bring Virgin Cable to the village. The internet capacity of cable would be multiples of the current non cable capacity.

Virgin Media held a ‘Community Information Event’ recently at Lough Moss Leisure Centre, Carryduff, with a view to expanding their network into our area. They have apparently installed a node at Ballylesson Road, as part of their roll-out to BT8.
The install is currently not going down Ballylesson Road or to the Village as far as we can gather, but since Virgin Media are a demand driven business with a roll-out budget, they use a sign-up service (called “cable my street”) for interested parties in order to direct their resource to the demand.
