Mobile phone network survey.

A few times we have been asked ‘Which mobile phone network is best for the village?’. I’ve worked out how to conduct a survey on this website and I’m now asking for your knowledge.

Click on the link and fill out the very short survey.

I’m not sure if you’ll be able to see the results as the data builds up, but I will report back with the results.

Thanks.

I get better signal after downloading free 02 App called ‘TuGo’. All calls are over wi-fi so i can a get signal anywhere in the house, though it can break up at times. I got a very poor signal ( by hanging out the window / doors upstairs!) before using the App so it’s a great improvement. Also, a booster may help – ‘Netgear’ (available on Amazon for £40 approx) was recommended.

Orange hasn’t been listed! It now uses the same network as T-mobile. I’ve had no difficulty getting a signal anywhere in the village with these two.

In case its of interest to anyone – NIBroadband.com is a website to check out what broadband is available in your area. It says superfast bband is available in Edenderry – I have emailed them asking if this is correct.

Can get fast broadband through talktalk and BT am sure the others will also offer. vodaphone offer a system to use via WIFI costs about £100 EE offer same but apparently will give a discount depending how bad your signal is (have not got round to requesting. O2 advised me they do not offer anything to direct through Wifi which is why I left them plus once you leave house they offer no coverage but make of phone can influence this also
